The Challenge

  • An existing patient support program was struggling to keep patients engaged due to one-size-fits-all model that failed to meet the needs of different patient groups
  • Our goal was to decipher the key factors that influence patient adherence and provide recommended engagement and days on therapy

Our Solution

  • Propensity4 analyzed demographics, prescribing patterns, and engagement behavior of over 3,000 existing and lapsed patients
  • We studied the impact and response from patients based on initiation experience and treatment regimen
  • We identified what motivated a patient to engage with a PSP and remain on therapy
    We developed a risk scoring algorithm to assess a patient’s likelihood and timing of discontinuing treatment
  • We created recommended interventions based on patient risk profiles and engagement profiles to assist patients treatment journey

The Outcome

  • In partnership with our client and Inizio Engage Patient Services, we created a dynamic approach to patient engagement tailored to a patient’s therapy-start method, and engagement history
  • We created support guidelines that adapt to patients’ needs through their treatment journey
  • We implemented a tracking plan by patient groups to analyze engagement and product persistency trends to drive further refinement in engagement
  • 16 weeks time from program award until patient profiles were created, engagement recommendations were delivered, and the Nurse Care Navigator program launched
